On August 20, 2025, one of the most extraordinary sailing expeditions of the year set sail from the Pogoń marina in Szczecin. On board the yacht Meteor, Captain Krzysztof Baranowski, a legend of Polish sailing, embarked on his third solo voyage around the world.
Rockforce is honored to be a strategic partner in this extraordinary adventure.
Krzysztof Baranowski is the only Pole to have sailed solo around the world twice, and the first to have sailed solo around Cape Horn. He is a mentor to young sailors, author of books and reports, and ambassador for Polish sailing.
The journey takes place on a unique vessel. Meteor, designed by Stephen Jones and built in 2006 in Great Britain, is a classic racing yacht styled after the 1920s. Its slender silhouette, wood-epoxy construction, and numerous victories in prestigious regattas make it the perfect companion for such a demanding expedition.
Length: 15.44 m | Width: 3.05 m | Draft: 2.44 m | Displacement: 6.9 t
The voyage began in Szczecin, with Tenerife as the first destination. From there, Captain Baranowski will set off alone on a great oceanic journey:
➡ Martinique → Panama → Tahiti → Fiji → Darwin → Mauritius → Durban → Cape Town
Rockforce has always supported those who push the boundaries – of equipment, capabilities, and their own endurance. Captain Baranowski's voyage is exactly that: a challenge that requires unwavering strength and reliability.
Just like our tools in workshops and garages, this expedition proves that determination and solid foundations allow you to go further than you think.
We proudly follow each stage of this maritime story and believe that the Meteor voyage will inspire all those who dream of their own challenges, regardless of age and circumstances.
